My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: NC
Concerning North Carolina Tolling of the Statute of Limitations in relation to Credit Card debt.
In April 2007, after living in NC for 38 years, I stopped paying and using my credit cards as a result of job loss.
Within 2 months, I moved to a house I bought in 2006 in FL and sold the NC house.
Now, in July 2010, I reside with family in Oregon as the house in FL was foreclosed on in June 2010 due to being laid off in mid 2009.
My question is, which state applies to the Statute of Limitations in reference to the old credit card debt?
Since I moved from NC, was the SOL tolled in NC?
I am aware that because I moved from FL, the SOL is tolled in that state.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
