Default Time Frame for Judge's Decision on a New Jersey Defense by Affidavit

I filed a defense by affidavit for a parking ticket a nj municipal court (got the ticket in front of my house so it's my own town). 3-4 weeks later I called about the decision and the clerk said "soon, she'll find it...". a few more weeks went by before I got the guilty decision.

Is there any NJ Court rule dictating that judges produce a decision within a set timeframe?? what if he waited a year, might that prejudice my ability to appeal???

How would that prejudice your appeal? You made your record.
