    Default What Are Personal Effects

Hello, my question is the definition of personal effects in a will. Does this include property or home? Or would property or home have to be specifically mentioned in a will? Thank you.

Personal effects are things like clothing, costume jewelry, and the like.

Houses and other real property are not considered personal effects, and are typically specified in a will or trust document as to what the disposition of that property should be.
