Default Period of Alimony is Ending

My question involves divorce in the State of: New Jersey

I have been divorced for 7 years and court awarded alimony is scheduled to end in October 2010. My current employer deducts alimony from my pay. Is there anything I need to do or get from the court to make sure payment stops in October, and do I need to notify my employer? Or do these things happen automatically as a result of the initial court order for ailmony?

Take a copy of the order specifying the end date into your payroll department and discuss it with them.

These things are rarely automatic; depending on how your order is worded you may need to file with the court to modify and end the current order based upon your decree.

It's unlikely your employer can actually stop payment without a court order instructing them to do so although your actual order may - just may - be enough.
