    Question In-Home Interlock Device

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas and New York

I recently plead no contest to a DWI charge in Texas and was ordered to have an interlock device installed in my car. I will be moving to New York in a month and will not be taking my car with me. My probation officer in Texas is telling me that I will have to have an in-home interlock device in New York since I will not have a car. My probation paperwork says nothing about other types of alcohol monitoring and I can't find it in any Texas laws. although it does say that I am not allowed to drink. Do I really need to get an in-home device installed?

What are the exact terms of your probation in relation to interlock devices and alcohol monitoring? Often testing is "at the discretion of the probation officer".
