Default International Student New York City

I have the student visa to study in the USA, I am 17 years old and I will be living in New York City this next school year. I was wondering if it is okay for me to live by myself according the laws of the state or do I have to be under adult supervision?

    thanks

If you're a minor, you may have difficulty finding a landlord willing to rent to you. But it's not particularly unusual for a 17-year-old to matriculate or to live alone, in dorms or with roommates to attend college in the U.S., with parental permission.
