Post Deported After Going Out of Status on a F1 Visa, and Wish to Return

    Hello.
I was suspended from my University during the fall.
And as such fell out of status in late September, at this time i stayed in the US out of status till December.

In January I attempted to return to the US as my University suspension was cleared.
At the border i was stopped and told because i stayed out of status between September and December i was being deported.

Now i am attempting to return to the US, I have gotten all the travel documents such as a new I-20, An acceptance letter from the University, Proof of financial stability(my dads company is paying for my schooling) and a new VISA as my old one was cancelled.

    My Questions are:
    1. Will i need any other documents in order to enter the US

    2. Will my prior deportation affect my chances of actually entering the border.
The deportation was very traumatizing and i dont want to go through that again.

If you were in fact deported, you are probably subject to a five year period of ineligibility. So were you deported, or is it that you were allowed to voluntarily withdraw your request to enter the U.S.?

If you were deported, how long ago did that happen?

Im not sure if it was deportation or a withdrawal.
i was at the border and they never let me pass, they told me i couldnt enter if out was out of status and was booked on the next flight out.

Is there a way to check?

And it happened in 7th January 2010

You can try checking with ICE or at a port of entry. We have no way to find out for you.
