Exclamation Is It Legal for a Parent to Kick Out Their Under Age Child

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Tennessee

I need to know if it is legal for a parent to kick out their under age child and what to do if this happens. Any legal reference would be appreciated.

    In order:

    Define "under age".
Go to CPS, a shelter, the police, a neighbor.
Give us the context and we'll likely be able to help further.

Under age would be a minor, someone under 18.

I was kicked out of my mother's house recently. She had no reason to do this. She claims that her religion comes first and as I did not want to attend her church, I went against her religion and could not live in her house. I do not believe that this is fair as I have done nothing offensive or rebelious.

I'm going to file for emancipation, but I don't know if I would qualify.

    Where are you currently living?

    Are you working full time?

    In school?

    Who is supporting you?

    How old are you?

I am seventeen and currently staying with my aunt who is doing her best to support me. I am in my senior year of high school, but because I don't know where I'll be staying I do not have a job.

Then I'm sorry but emancipation is not going to be an option for you, period.

Your aunt can file an emergency (ex parte) petition for guardianship and request an emergency order for child support so your Mom can start paying.

Is Dad around? Could you live with him?

(I don't want to make any assumptions, but it's not clear whether he's living with Mom or not)
