    Default Poker Night

I live in Illinois and maybe once or twice a month I can invite my friends, and my younger bro can invite his friends and we have sort of a Poker Night. We all throw 10 bucks into a pot, (use some of the money to get pizza) and then play cards till about 11. The winner gets half the pot, 2nd place gets 35% and 3rd gets 15%. Is that considered illegal? Should we stop doing it, or is it cool/no big deal

"Technically" home poker games, no matter the ante stakes, is illegal, but the cops are too busy to bust such. Even if found out, they may just tell you to end the game now.

Unless it is BIG money poker to bother with, the cops know there are MANY fieindly poker games that go on, regardless of the law.
