Default Travel Permit Denied for No Reason

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Massachusetts

I put in a request to go out of state from Massachusetts to Maine for 7 days. I've done everything I've supposed to do while on probation, paid restitution and I've been passing the drug tests. I did get a violation but it was for a speeding offense and it didnt affect the probation and is closed. I requested the travel permit and it has been denied for no reason by the head probation officer. Do they need a reason to deny me or not? What is my next option? to go before the judge? what is the likely hood of him or her denying it? I was thinking about just going since I meet twice a week with my P.O.and
I will be going to a family home on an island, I really need the vacation what is the possibility they will find out?

I would not advise going. If your probation officer finds out, you can be arrested for violating terms of probation. In other words....your vacation would be behind some nice steel bars, without a view, no comfy bed, no good food, and no choice of a nice CELL-mate.

    Get my drift?

    Probation is a privilege.

    Nope.

You really need to abide by the terms of your probation, too.

    It's almost a certainty.

You'd be an idiot to play the odds and hope you don't get found out. I'm told the food in jail is worse than canned cat food.

so what are you basing the likely hood of a person getting caught on? because people in the past are dumb about it? or because the probation office is high and mighty and know everything. If you are careful you can get a way with a lot of things, if you plan and execute it correctly.

Why are you here asking us if we think you'll get caught, if you've already decided that you're going to violate your probation?

We don't want to hear your fussing when you get caught, 'K?

Do you know how many dumb criminals don't end up getting caught?

    Hint: You got caught once...

They are probably basing the likelihood on the fact you already requested to go out of town and were denied. So your PO knows that you wanted to leave for that time. I don't know how your parole in structured but your PO might decide that that week is a good time to make a surprise home visit or call you for a random drug screen. What then?
