My question involves divorce in the State of: TN
My husband and I owned an LLC which is now dissolved. There is credit card debt that was guarantied by my husband. I paid the cards myself when there was not enough money to cover the business bills.
Now that we are divorcing he claims to have no knowledge of the cards and that I committed fraud by applying for the cards in his name.
My question is: How would this debt be handled by the judge? Equitable distribution or will he be responsible?
Part two: I am disabled and have been deemed so since 1995, long before we married. I retired on Disability. When we married, I let go of my health insurance and used his instead. I was informed by my retirement board that I would not be able to re-instate my insurance. Now with more financial responsibility than before, I can not afford insurance premiums to cover me and my children (not his).
My question is: Will he be obligated to provide coverage for me?
