Default Who Can Repo a Vehicle

My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: California.

If Auto Repo Company "Alpha" has an order to repossess an automobile, is
Auto Repo Company "Bravo", or "Charlie" elgible to repossess the vehicle. As I understand it, there is a data-base that is available to repo companies that contains all the pertinent information. Since there are now vehicles that are primarily used to "hunt" vehicles on the "list", by camera; my question involves
any and all repo companies who might have access to the information.

I am busily trying to reword or BK my situation, however, in the meantime, I am keeping one-step ahead. However, I was "found", I believe by a tow that almost occurred 5 months ago.

I know that the finance companies will pull orders and reassign them, but does that mean only the assigned company can repo a vehicle?

    It go's by contract.

If tow yard A, B and C have a contract with bank A, then all three company's get a crack at your car.

If company A, B or C is getting $500.00 for finding and repossessing your car ether one of the tow company's may contract company D, E, F and G to help them find the car and split the money with them.

.....so, if D, E, F or even G were to put eyes on it, could they or even someone else pick it up on simply it being on a "list"? I guess what I am asking is, is there a "pick-up-on-sight" agreement of sorts, that these guys might adhere to?

If tow company A,B and C have a contract to do repo work for bank A then tow company A. B and C will have a list of vehicles up for repo. Company D, E, F and G will not have a list from bank A, but ether of the tow company's that have a contract with the bank can subcontract a list of vehicles that they are having a hard time finding and in return the contracted company will split the finders fee with the non contracted company

.....so, as I understand your reply, if a completely different outfit comes across the car, they can "contract" with one of the assigned outfits. Essentially, with the computer database access, they are one "big" outfit that can repo??

It is fair game for any and all of these guys, as long as they have access to the "list"?
