Default Au Pair Wants to Change Visa

    Hi,

Our AuPair has a 2 year visa to be an AuPair. She has been here for 8 months. What are her options for changing her Visa, so she can stay here, but not as an AuPair. She'd even be willing to keep providing child care, but she wants to live in her own apartment. She said that part of her AuPair visa requires her to live with the family instead of in her own apartment. Is she correct, and what do you recommend?

    Thanks very much.

I suggest that you communicate with the agency which placed her with you do that you understand your legal responsibilities you have. You likely have a contract with them and her.
