Default 10 Min. Break for Managers

My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: CA

I am an assistant manager (salary). Do I get breaks every four hours or at all?

What about meal break? My manager gives me crap about taking more than 30 min.

There is no specific exception in the law for salaried exempt employees (I'm assuming you are exempt; being "salaried" does not necessarily make you exempt). However, if the employer expects you to only take 30 minutes for lunch, you only take 30 minutes for lunch; that's all the law requires, even for nonexempt employees.
