Exclamation Victim of Armed Carjacking - How Do I Pursue a Civil Judgment

I was the victim of a armed carjacking the other night. Ill try to spare any details I don't believe them to be too relevant to this question, but if you need more please let me know and by all means Ill type them up again.

-I was leaving the bar shortly before 2, all of a sudden when I was about to pull out of my parallel parking spot a car sped up in front of me, blocking me in, three guys were in it, and the one in the back passenger seat had a glock trained on me. He ordered me out of the car which I didn't do at first partially in shock, partially in defiance. either way he came over to the car and ripped me out of the car, ripping my shirt, the other one in the passenger had since jumped out and was standing at his car door.

-They demanded my wallet and to "empty my pockets" but I fumbled around in them long enough that they just left after getting my wallet.

-Cops quickly pursued resulting in an hour long 20 car, 1 chopper car chase, the suspects ran my car into a fence, and are now all in custody.

-Clearly they are facing criminal charges thought at this point I do not know what (or how I would find that out) (though any suggestions as to how I would find out their names and upcoming court dates I would like to know)
But I want to pursue any and all civil charges I may against them. Being scum of the earth cockroaches they are, Im sure they don't have much, but I want to make sure that by the end of this they have nothing, even if I don't see a cent of it, and it all goes to the lawyer, just want to make sure they are held responsible.

-Right now the police still have my car in custody for processing evidence, so this is now the second day it has prevented me from working (a freelance technician/ carpenter) all of my tools (plus a little "green" in my toolbox, should I be concerned?), my work boots, hard hat, etc are in the car, as well as my clothes, toiletries, phone charger, everything. I am assuming I can go after the cost of all of these items, at least the amount of money I could have made for these two days (as well as any subsequent days I have to be in court for their criminal proceedings) (and travel and accommodations for this as I currently reside in PA, while the crime occurred in dc)

-I think the shirt they ripped now is going to have had a value of $100, if my car is not totaled I want a new bumper, possibly a new hood if it is at all dented, if not a new paint job, new tires and shocks considering they slammed it into a fence and over lord knows what else during the course of the chase, maybe the car detailed or something cause lord knows what they were doing in there whilst rummaging through my stuff during this chase. Id also like to go after some kind of trauma damages or something. Im not opposed to going to a shrink or anything, but I don't have health insurance so I wouldn't even know how to begin this. I also don't want to/ am scared to spend anything that I risk not being able to collect on, because Im a poor recent (b.a.) grad into a recession, so right now every penny counts. ANY kind of help/ suggestions (potential offenses I am the victim of?) of where to begin (or the kind of lawyer I need to be seeking) would be most appreciated, as all the lawyers I can find right now are either defense lawyers for these criminals, or do not practice this kind of law.

You can seek restitution through the criminal case. The prosecutor's office should be able to advise you on the process.

In terms of a civil case, most carjackers don't have money to pay a judgment. Is there a point to trying to sue them?
