My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Virginia
Closed on a new house in Dec 2006. The warranty covered most things up to two years. Before that time there was a problem with the fence; they "fixed" it, then later they had to move part of it to comply with town regulations. Now (2010) the fence is falling apart in some places. Also, we used the tub - no leaks. At some point they changed a lot of the pipes due to potential leak problems with the old material; shortly after the warranty expired, the tub leaked and damaged the ceiling as well.
Next, during the 1st year several roof tiles fell off. They fixed the problem, but I told them that I was worried that I might continue to have problems after the two year period; they said that if still building in our area, they would come and fix it. I am now missing a few tiles from the roof. It's a three story bldg and can't get up there to fix it myself.
I was layed off and have not been able to fix any of this. Do I have any recourse?
