    Question Shoplifted at Meijers in Michigan

    yea so me and two of my friends were at meijers and we tried to take something worth 20.00........now my friend took it out and i put it in my pocked...but then we ditched it in the store....we started walking out but one of my friends who had nothing to do with it was still in the store...we got out of the store and the secruty stopped him and he told them our names..they called the cops and that day we met with a police officer... my friend told him wat happend but i didnt because my parents were not there....now i have a informational hearing coming up and my friends lawyer says that they dont have us on tape...so I was wondering what course should i take...should i plea guilty since im 16..or should i not since they dont have me on tape??? and also if i get convicted will the police contact my school?? thanks for the advice

    It is unlikely that your school will learn of the outcome of your case.

    You should talk to your parents and possibly a lawyer in deciding how to proceed.
