My question involves a traffic citation from the state of Washington.
Early this morning i was coming off the freeway and taking a left off the off ramp. Took the corner a little too fast in the rain and my back end came out a little bit. No big deal right? State partolman pulls me over and asks me if I want all 3 tickets or just one. i said just one would be fine. never even told me what i was getting a ticket for until i read what he wrote on the ticket: Negligent driving in the (unreadable) degree ($550). his car was totally unmarked and never even asks me for my license insurance etc. i had to ask him if he wanted to see it. aren't they suppose to tell you what you did and ask for your info?
the day before we had had 70 degree weather and today, we have a lot of precipitation making the road extremely slippery. mud tires do not get good grip on wet oily pavement and the rear end of my truck does not weigh a thing. i had no reason to be driving erratically this early in the morning on my way to work, i even had tools in the back that were not tied down and are very expensive. i was being careful as not to let them slide around.
about the ticket:
officer put the wrong city. pulled over in gig harbor, he put tacoma on the ticket.
it says that i am the registered owner of my vehicle. that i am not, my father is.
could this be grounds for dismissal?
