If an inmate wishes to apply for Interstate Compact and still is in custody he/she should advise his/her counselor well in advance of their scheduled release date. Here is a link to Interstate Commission on Adult Supervision.

On the left side of this page is the rules for interstate compact. It is advisable that the person seeking this transfer have some sort of family ties in the state which they want to transfer to Employment is a big plus also.
