    Default Hearsay in a Trial

Can/Is "hearsay" acceptable in a trial? even if someone is under oath?

There are lots of exceptions where heresay CAN be admitted. You'd have to be MUCH more specific.

I don't have a specific event, just in general, I was wondering if "hearsay" was admissable at all, I've seen TV trials before, when the defense council would object to something on the grounds of hearsay

Under certain conditions hearsay can be admitted, Google for "dying declaration" and "res gestae" for examples.

And in California it can be accepted in preliminary exams if the officer has met the training requirements.
