Hello....first time poster so be gentle please!! Just a brief outline of my predicament.
My son and I were on holiday abroad in Barbados and were involved in a jet ski accident with a speed boat. Thankfully we survived and returned home to the UK and put the whole episode behind us.
The jet ski owner has since written to me asking for compensation for damage to her jet ski as she does not wish to claim on her insurance as her excess is too high and premiums will go up and for the loss of business while her jet ski was in the shop being repaired. Also according to her, her insurance company says the accident was my fault so she cannot claim against the speedboat which in my opinion is totally wrong.
Question: Can she sue me in the UK from Barbados even though the incident took place in Barbados??
