Generally, when someone presents a scenario and asks for advice, I present advice based on the facts presented, not based on my assumptions of what the facts "really" are. If the OP lied about the facts, that is the OP's problem; assuming the OP lied and answering a question other than the one asked is liable to cause irritation regardless of the veracity of the OP.
KevinArnold claims to have purchased games and subsequently returned them without knowing the discs were never in there in the first place. He wants help regarding the dilemma of facing fraud charges after being caught entirely unawares. Best Buy said that there has been a significant problem of people returning empty cases, and admits that said empty cases have been restocked and sold to unsuspecting customers. That, therefore, is the dilemma that I am attempting to solve.
