We advise people to get a LOCAL LAWYER because laws vary state to state, and add to it - different counties may have their own ordinances.
A LOCAL LAWYER will also know best what to expect from the Prosecutor and Judge. Judge Cooper in Oakland County may be more harsh than Judge Smith in Lucas County.....a LOCAL LAWYER knows best if a prosecutor is willing to make a plea bargain, or not.
We are VOLUNTEERS here. Meaning we do not get paid to look up your county and state information. We also, as we are not retainable as attorneys for you, cannot subpoena information such as the police and LP reports, or copies of evidence.
Therefore....we can give you an idea of what to expect. And being responsible VOLUNTEERS, we are responsible and recommend, when you need an attorney and that you find a local one, in your area, or where the offense occurred (if outside of your county of residence).
If you find fault with that - then you are free to not use this site; and free to spend hours of your own time on Google trying to find your answers.
