Default How to Get Street Camera Photos for Contesting a Ticket

My Ticket involve state of Washington.

My wife got ticket for blocking intersection RCW 46.61.202 in Redmond, WA.

There are two lane turning left on the intersection. She was on the outward lane turning left. After she complete the turn, note that her car is already straight after turning left, her car was at the last position on the turned road.

Lady cop was sitting straight in the apartment complex waiting to turn right.

The traffic was moving very slow in the morning. Note that light was all green. It didn't turn yellow or red while she was taking left turn. She completed the left turn on Green light before the light turn yellow or red.

After few seconds while my wife was going straight, this lady cop flashed from behind stopped her and said "Due to you I couldn't turn right and I have to wait" and gave her ticket for blocking interaction. This is BS.

If the left turn signal is green how come the person or whether he/she is cop can turn right unless her turn signal is green.

There are traffic camera on this interaction. She want to fight this ticket and would like to get the traffic camera picture for contested hearing.

How to request traffic camera pictures for the contested hearing?
Should she ask the prosecutor to produce the camera picture during hearing?

This is totally plain BS and lie by cop. She had a witness in the car while it happened. Does witness help during contested hearing?

    Thanks

She can probably obtain video through the entity responsible for the camera - probably the unit of government that is responsible for the intersection as a whole - via a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request. She may be able to inspect or obtain copies more quickly - but she'll have to identify then ask the responsible agency about their policies.

The prosecutor does not have to jump through hoops to obtain evidence that is as easily obtained by the defense. If the prosecutor does have video, she should be able to obtain a copy or view the video via the prosecutor's office; but if this is not something they would ordinarily obtain she should not expect them to get it for her.
