    Default H1B Notice period

    Hi,

I Decided quiting CompanyA and would be joining company B on June first week. ( company B has already done my H1b transfer)
Now i will resign from Company A on May 15, giving them a two week notice period.

But if company A accepts my resignation and relieves me on May 17, am i aligible to ask for the remaining days US WAGES till May end. ( As i am only joining company B on June first week and i gave them a notice of two weeks )

    tHANKS.

If you quit your job, whether or not your employer respects your notice period or terminates you on the spot has nothing to do with your H-1B status.

My question is not regarding the status,, but regarding my right for the wages.

Am i entitled for the wages in the case where the company cut short the notice period,, i have given? ( i have given a notice period of 2 weeks)

If you quit your job, or if your employment is terminated, your employer doesn't have to pay you. Most employers will respect your notice period. Some will not.
