Arrow Demand for Civil Restitution in Colorado

My question involves demand for civil restitution in Colorado.
I was caught shoplifting in the retailer store in colorado. Security person did not call police but gave me letter for demand for civil restitution, which I signed in front of him. I need to pay $250 to their law firm in California. How will it affect when I apply for citizenship in next 2-3 years.

If the only thing involved is a civil demand - no police, no arrest, no criminal charge, no prosecution - it won't affect your citizenship application.

    Thank you Mr. Knowitall,
However, there is one question in citizenship application- Did you commit any offense where you were not arrested? Same questions is asked during interview. If we say ‘yes’ and provide the proofs of payment. Should that work? Or citizenship can be denied on the basis of ‘no good moral character’?

I'm not certain exactly how citizenship applications work, but you should be able to say "no." I presume they're talking about whether you received a criminal summons, not whether you committed a crime but got away with it; that would be illegal, since it would require you to incriminate yourself in violation of your 5th Amendment rights.

Legally, if you weren't convicted of the crime, then you didn't commit the crime.
