    Default Unpaid Traffic Bench Warrant

My question involves an arrest warrant from the State of: California

    Hi everyone,

I used to have a bench warrant then showed up to court one day and signed up for community service, finished it bu never appeared in court again; the status of my case no longer says bench warrant but states "matter set for compliance"

What does that mean, and will I be detained at customs? More info, I am not a US Citizen, I do have a valid green card and a valid foreign passaport.

    Thanks for your help everyone...

We cannot assure you that your criminal history and failure to close out the case will not cause problems on reentry. In addition to being detained, a more likely problem would be that you're denied permission to reenter. (Note, we don't know your status in the U.S., and have no information about the crime or offense that resulted in the bench warrant.)

I would expect that the hearing is for the purpose of verifying that you've fully complied with your sentence.

Play it safe. Take care of it before you go.

    Thanks,
Here is the rest of the information, which I also forgot to include what innitiated this, it was traffic violation. It was sent to collections and a bench warrant was issued. I then appeared in court, and had an agreement to pay the fines with community service. I completed my service but never re-apeared. Like i said my status in the US is a permanent resident with a valid green card. I will be flying back into the country, so technically I will be in the US already, and would just have to see a judge in case they say-do something. I travelled out before it said "matter set for compliance"
and it was a "bench warrant" and i was fine. I guess my main question is what does "matter set for compliance" mean? Is it just that the issue was to be resolved on agreed terms?>? Being i would complete the community service>?? It no longer says bench warrant, so reentry into the country should not be an issue. ?? thoughts.. ?

    thanks for the help!
