My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas
OK here we go I bought this house in Texas from owner in 2006 now the city wants to buy some of the land the problem Im having is that the previous owners name came up to not the owner I bought it from but the owners before them what I would like to know is there any way to stop this from happening is there any paper work I could fill out to get there name off if any thing like this happen again also me and my wife split not divorced and the house is in both our name and I got a letter saying we need to attend a hearing for the land that the city would like to buy I know longer talk to her would that be a problem at the hearing or would they just proceed without her and send me a check
P.S. The owners name that came up did not pay for the house in full they lost the house back to the owner I bought it from
