My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Michigan I was recently fired for being late on my rent. I worked for and lived at the same property. Management claims it is a code of conduct violation for failing to act in accordance with the rules and terms of my lease. However, no where does it state that I could be terminated for this. The only thing it states is that if late, I would forfeit the 20% discount they allow employees. Is this legal?
