My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan

Ok this story is long so please bear with me, but it is all important. I will start out with my husband was orginally brought up on a domestic violence charge because of a police report that I filed that was false. I did go to the police report and write a statement that I had filed a false police report. I expected for them to release the case on my husband and file one on my but they did not. They decided to continue to the prosecution on my husband. During this period I moved. I did not tell the prosecution I was moving because I did not want them to find me, no witness really no case.

I also moved because in this time my mother became very enraged in the fact that I said that my report was false. She thinks that my husband talked me into it and he did not. I lied and I was going to take my punishment for it. Isn't that what half way decent people would do. Anyways she began harrassing me, my husband, and my mother-in-law. This woman had to be removed from my property shortly after I retracted my statement to the police. She filed false CPS allegations against me stating that I was endangering my daughter ( they found no proof of this and dropped the case), she sliced the tires on my truck, left me numerous harrassing voicemails, attempted to kidnap my daughter, assaulted my mother-in-law, and had to be removed from my mother-laws property by police. There have been about 4 reports filed on her (not by me but my husband and mother-in-law) and no action has been taken against her.

Anyways this case would have been dropped, but my husband failed to appear in court for his bench hearing ( I have no idea why). The judge hearing the case stated that if he turned himself in, in 5 days that he would not issue a bench warrant. My husband did so and still was put in jail and had to bond out for $5000. There was no warrant issued and the court even stated that he should never had been arrested.

This all leads me to my husband's most recent courtdate. When he arrived at court him and his mother were met by 4 police officers. Come to find out this was because they thought he did not have an attorney. When they found out that he did, their tune changed and they left. There was no reason for him to be met by that many police officers. Come to find out my mother went to the prosecuting attorney's office and stated that I was at the court house. I wasn't I live in Missouri now and I was at work when he was in court. But anyways, she told the prosecuting attorney that my father-in-law whisked me away before court. This greatly affected my husband's trial. The prosecuting attorney then brought up charges of felony tampering with a witness, a second domestic violence charge, and a property damage charge. This led him to having two choices in court that day - go to jail again (I'll say the last time he went to jail he had to be rushed to the hospital because he almost had a heart attack. He has severe anxiety with high blood pressure) or take a plea agreement to the original charge. Of course because he didn't want to go to jail again he reluctantly took the plea.

After this my mother-in-law and husband went and got his dad to file a report against my mother for filing a false police report. When they talked to the prosecuting attorney's office the secretary said and I quote "this case has been such a mess from the beginning and we do not care if it is her fault or his fault". My mother-in-law recorded this whole conversation.

My thing is that the prosecuting attorney is ignoring a lot of facts in this case. The fact the if I had been in the car with my husband the way my mother told that I was wouldn't the police officers seen me? Plus the second domestic violence charge that was presented was on the date that my mother was removed from my home by a police officer. There was no domestic violence that day. Also this woman has committed several crimes of her own with no punishment.

Any advice that anyone would have on this case would be greatly appreciated. My husband just wants to get this over with so that he can come to Missouri and we can go through marriage counseling like we want to. We don't think our marriage is perfect and we have done a lot of things to hurt each other, but this is getting riduculous now. This case has been in the courts for about 6 months now.
