Default Dealing in Stolen Property, Grand Theft

My question involves criminal law for the state of: florida

My son was arrested for dealing in stolen property, and grand theft.
He received a call from a friend of a friend to tow his supposedly truck to the scrap yard and sell was offered gas to tow, he did and a few days later was arrested at the store along with 3 others. my son had no knowledge that this truck was reported stolen after he took to scrap. the guy told him it was his truck, this truck sat in this fellows yard for quite some time, along with another vehicle that was actually this guys.and was scrapped as well so he had no reason to believe otherwise, he told the cops when he was arrested that he had no idea it was stolen the guy told him it was his.if he knew it was stolen he wouldnt have used his vehicle because he knows they take your info and such when scrapping now days. now he has two charges dealing in stolen property, and grand theft auto. they had a pic of his tag when he scrapped so thats how they got his name and this fellow is saying they knew it was his cousins, my son was released on ROR along with one other friend and 1 was a juvenile the main guy had a10,000 bond, can you please give any advise on this situation , I am kindof ignorant when it comes to the law,I personally have never been in trouble. Thank you so much, we live in a really small country town with corruption of law enforcement. not joking.

    Your son needs a lawyer.

Why didn't your son call the police when he realized he had been tricked into helping somebody steal a vehicle?

Are his friends going to back up his story that he knew nothing about the theft until after-the-fact?

he didn't know it was stolen until he was arrested for it and the police told him. his friends are backing him up and saying the same story, except for the one guy that knew it wasn't his truck to scrap.because he is the owners cousin. this truck had been sittig in this fellows yard for a long time. wasn't like they went and stole it it was in the guys yard broke down. all my son did was got a call to tow it to the scrap yard because he was the one with a truck that could tow it. people scrap vehicles around here all the time.
