Would You Take a Reckless Driving Plea for DUI

Florida first time DUI. Blew a .097

Should I take the reckless driving if it is offered? I am confused about the difference between this a a conviction for DUI. It seems like its pretty much the same. May be better to roll the dice and go to trial?

I'd take it no matter where I lived unless I felt certain (as advised by counsel) that I'd prevail at trial.

Um, yeah! You don't want to go through all the fines and classes of a DUI.

You do NOT want a DUI on your driving record.

Reckless driving is the usual down-grade. It is a gift. It has half the points and your insurance will not go up as much. You also will not already have a DUI should you get stopped again.
