My question involves a child visitation case from the State of: North Carolina
Hello. I live in New York and recently filed in my daughters home state of North Carolina for visitation. She is 8.My hearing is for June 2 and I'm nervous. My daughters mom said no judge will allow me to see my daughter because she don"t really know me but thats all lies, she does know me. My daughter tells me all the time she loves me and misses me.She also stated because I am recently unemployed I wont get visitation. She is getting a lawyer to fight me not to see my daughter based on those grounds. She is spiteful.I am currently looking for work yet i do odd jobs as an auto mechanic and my parents are helping me.I was wondering if what she states is true and I wont be granted visitation to see my daughter because I have no job.I basically cant afford a lawyer and wanted to know what to expect at the hearing.I really love my daughter and just want to be in her life. I have no criminal records and never ever abused my daughter, I only get to see her whenever the mother feels like coming to NY.
I waived mediation because her mother will not agree to anything, out of pure stubborn. Is it the judge's decision now and do i have a chance to request what holidays or days? Thank you so much
Thank you so much for your time.
