My question involves personal property located in the State of: California
Just finalized a nasty divorce (April 28, 2010), entered into judgment on the same date is a mutually agreed upon settlement agreement which states that my horses can stay on the property "temporarily", with no actual time limit. Now ex is telling me I have to remove them by May 31, 2010, or he will get rid of them. I am currently paying him for their feed, and he has been feeding them, etc, since we separated two years ago without any demand for me to remove them. I have every intention of moving them within the next 60-90 days, but I wanted to know if he actually has a legal right to get rid of them if his "time limit" is not met, as there is no actual time limit in the settlement agreement. He did send me a certified letter with his demand for removal, and in return I sent him a certified letter stating that I would remove them within 60-90 days.
I searched for info on this in the CA state civil codes, as well as on this site and Google, and have found no info.
Thank you in advance for kind advice
