My question involves defamation in the state of: Massachusetts
I am dealing with a bit of a case of impersonation/identity theft.
I suppose it would be considered a minor case, but I've found this highly frustrating and I've been poorly treated during my attempts to resolve the situation myself.
I am on a website called "deviantart.com" where I am a model/artist of sorts. I take and create photos and upload them to my account. They are all pictures of myself.
Recently I found a profile on another website of someone using my pictures and pretending to be me. When I consulted the website "youthink.com" about it they told me there was nothing that they could do and their moderators went as far as to make fun of me, even after providing proof of who I was and that the fake profile was not me.
What I'm wondering is if, despite the fact that I have no copyrighted these pictures of me, am I still able to take some sort of legal action against this website for refusing to remove these pictures of me?
