Default Signed G-28 for FOIA, Are We Locked In

Hello, another question: We paid the consultation fee and then signed a G-28 for the lawyer to submit a FOIA(Freedom of Information Act) request. We spoke with the lawyer for about 45 minutes, and this G-28 form is the only thing we signed. Does this "lock" us in...? Can we still choose to use a different lawyer for our immigration situtation?

In the absence of any other agreement, yes, you may use a different attorney if you choose.
