    Default My Ex Wife Does Not Like the Amount of Child Support She is Going to Get

    My question involves child support in the State of: north carolina

    my ex wife went to the department of child support enforcemet to get child support started and i went in and talked to them and they told me how much and set an appointment a couple of days later to come back and sign the order, question is she does not like how much she is going to get and says she is going to stop the voulentary support and take me to court can she do this, and i have not signed the voulnetary support agreement yet because my appointment has been changed

    Sure, she can take you to court to request a modification.

    Understand though, that taking you to court is not the same as getting what she wants. It's only asking the court for something, not an automatic award of what she demands.

    I would expect her case to not go very far, since it was the DCSE that calculated the amount for you to pay.

    You'd do well to consult with an attorney if she does decide to go to court.
