My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ohio
I am hoping someone here can help me with this. Our court order reads “Father is entitled to four weeks (28 days) of extended parenting time annually. Father must notify the residential parent in writing at least thirty days in advance of exercising extended time. If Father intends to take the child on an out of town vacation during that period, he must give the residential parent a detailed itinerary of where they will be.” I am trying to work with my daughter’s mother to set up our extended visits this summer. This is the first year that the court order has been in place so neither of us have had to deal with this previously. I have sent her several texts asking her to let me know if she has any vacations planned this summer so that I do not schedule something conflicting, but she is refusing to respond (as per usual). I do not usually see her at the pick up or the drop off. Often, my wife picks up my daughter, and her boyfriend picks her up at the end of visitation, so face time is limited between us. How do I go about this? If I put it in writing, do I send it to her via certified mail? Does anyone have any suggestions on wording? Should I copy the lawyers and the court or is that not necessary? Also, I am guessing that four weeks means my weekend, plus five additional days. Not my weekend, plus seven additional days, correct?
Thanks for your help!
