Why wouldn't your marriage be recognized by the state of California? You had a civil ceremony there, it's valid.
Were both you and your spouse residents of Israel when you divorced? If so, your divorce is valid here.

What Di I need to do in order to record my divorce? I live in Los Angeles. Second, How long wil it takes to record my divorce and How do I get a proof that my divorce was recorded?. Thanks]
[QUOTE=OGILADI;823578] It's not necessary to record your divorce in CA buy you certainly have the option of doing so.
You need only take your documents to the county recorder where you live now and submit the documents for recording.
You'll probably need originals of the documents or certified copies.
How long the recording process takes is a question you get answered when you ask it at the time you submit your documents.
