What you choose to define, while perhaps interesting commentary on the human condition, isn't, alas, relevant to the current state of the law.

I'm not sure which game you're playing, but there aren't that many MMORPGS around, so I'm guessing it's World of Warcraft.

That said, and even if it isn't, most have this functionality, you simply highlight the person's name and click "ignore". In damages cases, even assuming you had one, you kind of have to work to mitigate how much you're damaged. Like, say, you can't stop in the middle of the street and get hit by a car to in turn sue them when you could have moved out of the way and prevented the whole thing.

Here, you can either use ignore on this person, or simply open a ticket with a game master if the person's conduct is outside of the game's Terms of Service or End User Licensing Agreement. If the person's conduct is in violation, the game masters will happily action that person's account. This is distinct from you have a claim of action in court though.

    Nothing changes.

Nothing you have stated is legally actionable. To echo the above poster, your definition of the law means nothing.

I have a feeling that one person in this conversation will be a victim . . . for the duration of his life.

At a certain point in one's life when one finds that all views are in opposition to his it's prudent to ask if it's the rest of the world who's screwed in the head, or himself.

    To recap:

Some person is harassing him in a game and gets away with this illegal action because he thinks he can.

And, the game masters who have the ability to prevent this allegedly illegal conduct won't because they abuse power.

Some might call this passive aggressive. I'm not quite that charitable.

    Maybe not...

Stephen, how old are you? You sound very young to be interested in posting to a legal forum. (I'm guessing...12? 13?)

It's time to move on, and iggie that person who's bothering you. He hasn't done anything illegal as far as picking on you goes. He can cyber-slap you all he wants, and unless you have some sort of special connection with your computer, it won't affect you physically (and shouldn't emotionally) at all.
