Default How Can a Sixteen Year Old Legally Move Out

My question involves a person located in the state of: Texas

Next month I'll be 16 years old. My mother lives in Indiana and was abusive to me so I moved in with my father. I've had many complications with him since I have moved in. We have many issues I rather not state for now on the internet. I want to know if there is anyway I'll be able to move out on my own at 16 legally. I prefer to wait till 16 so I will have less difficulties finding a job and to see if in a month I'll be able to clear any issues with my father. Is there any available documents or contracts I could get him to sign stating I'd be free to live without my parents legally? I know if I leave without any legal permission I'll be brought back home and considered a run away. Please anyone who knows let me know! It could really be useful. Thank you.

    No.

In Texas, unless you are ALREADY living on your own and paying all your own expenses, you do not qualify for emancipation at 16.

Not really. And EVERY teenager has complications with their parents. It's part of growing up. And every teenager thinks they have it worse than everyone else. That is because you think you are an adult, but your brain isn't done developing yet.

Which is also why the courts don't grant emancipation usually.

No. You should read the dozens of other threads about this same topic.

If you're being abused report it. If neither of your parents give you permission to move out, you can't until you're an adult. If you think you can resolve the issues in a month then do that. Suggest counseling. Talk to a counselor at school.

Who is the custodial parent? I'm only going with mom because you moved in with your dad - obviously she allowed that. She can always make you come back home if she's the CP.

Everyone has issues with their parents. Figure out how to work out and pull in some help if you need it.
