Default Purchase of Fraudulent Google Play Credits

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Massachusetts

I purchased discounted google play credits from a vendor in the Philippines. I was initially suspicious, but proceeded with the transaction anyways due to wishful thinking.

They advertise themselves as having their own methods of "farming [google play credits] large scale thus passing on the savings to our customers" but in retrospect it looks like they are engaging in credit card fraud.

My account is now banned due to a term of violation which I suspect is due the gap between the credits I received and the amount that was paid and taken back as fraudulent transactions.

The developers will not specify what the terms of violation is when I ask if this is the issue. Can I successfully ask my credit card provider/bank to revoke the transactions that I paid to the fraudsters on the grounds that they lied to me about the legitimacy of their business and damaged my account?

Their terms of service do not guaranteed that I won't get banned. It says "Always purchase at your own risk. So far we have no ban reports for the games that we are dealing with."

You can dispute the charges with your credit card company. Whether or not they will uphold a chargeback will depend upon many factors, including what you allege, the timeliness of your complaint, and whether they are able to recover the money.

PSA - If it's not from Google Play it's not legit. Never buy anything that's from someone that isn't affiliated with the actual store.
