If you knew it wasnt you why fight them? The police have power and are eager to use it. So, make it easy on them when you can. I'm not from CA but there is a police Sgt that posts heavily here . . . .

Having a guilty thought process after petty theft / awaiting arrest seems to be a common theme . . . . but all in all your prob. cousin got away with the $3 "heist".
