Child Care: Re: Limiting Child's Abilities

Since most parents have joint legal custody these days (rather than one having sole legal custody) I would suspect that either parent could sign for the child. There is certainly nothing in the link...
  2. Copyright Law: Re: Using Artist Name/Song Title in Movie Dialogue

Re the bolded, I read the OP's question as more along the lines of a trivia game being played by some people in the movie using song titles and artist's names. That certainly wouldn't be "stealing...
  3. Re: Does My Sons Dads Girlfriend Has Legal Rights to Be in School Parent Conferences

If the girlfriend is interfering in the co-parenting process it is not at all guaranteed that the judge will be pissed off at the OP. It is equally likely that the judge will be pissed off at dad...

Trusts: Re: Inheriting a Home Through a Trust

I have to say that it was pretty clear what the OP was asking about.

Re: When is Sex Not Illegal

Sex with mutual consent, between adults or those over the age of consent, between non related parties and is non transactional.
  6. Fences and Walls: Re: Can HOA Force Us to Share Fence Within Our Property Line with Neighbor

He actually knows what you meant. He was simply being pedantic for some inexplicable reason.
  7. Calculation of Support: Re: Oldest of Two Children Turned 18, Will Support for the Youngest Increase

Still though, he should at least run some numbers before he pokes that bear.
  8. Calculation of Support: Re: Oldest of Two Children Turned 18, Will Support for the Youngest Increase

Dad could, but I suspect that dad has the higher income, so he would still end up being the parent that pays child support...and possibly higher support than he is paying now. He should at least...
  9. Calculation of Support: Re: Oldest of Two Children Turned 18, Will Support for the Youngest Increase

In PA child support goes to age 18 or graduation from high school, whichever comes later. Therefore this is a moot point for your husband until the older child graduates.

    Re: Covid, Masks, Stores

Since most stores have delivery and pickup options, that would seem to accommodate the ADA.

Breaking a Lease: Re: May Need to Break a Yearly Lease

If not many units become available during the winter months because leases are not ending, then the landlord might have an easier time finding a new tenant. For those people who DO need housing...
  12. Payment Disputes: Re: Company Didn't Pay Me Until Termination, So I Kept Their Property. Legal

    I definitely agree with that.
  13. Payment Disputes: Re: Company Didn't Pay Me Until Termination, So I Kept Their Property. Legal

The OP is located in Canada. So is the property. Barbados would have no jurisdiction over either. Barbados would have jurisdiction over the money part of it.
  14. Establishing an Order: Re: Mother Took Child Over 10 Years Ago Now Wants Support

It sounds like the child is 16. There is no guarantee that any visitation would be granted at this stage if the child objects.
  15. Security Deposits: Re: I Want to Recover Damages Associated to My Rental House

That is still a bit less than clear. I think that you need to run that contract past a local real estate company who can read the exact names of the person's or entities involved.

    However, let me...

Fences and Walls: Re: Growing Plants Close to Neighbors Fence

It may actually be time then to put your foot down and get a restraining order if they disturb your property again. Of course, something that I would be tempted to do is to put up another fence,...
  17. Contract Law: Re: Parties to the Contract and the Power of Authorized Partners

Without knowing the total details of your contract I can only tell you that generally that would be the case. Generally a distributer would sell to a lower tier of retailers (or in this case...

Estate Assets and Debts: Re: A Question About Bank Accounts

If the accounts are simply standard checking or savings accounts with a few thousand or even a few tens of thousands there are not going to be any tax issues to address. If the accounts are...
  19. Establishing an Order: Re: Mother Took Child Over 10 Years Ago Now Wants Support

Who did any baiting about her husband's motivations? I don't think that anyone made any assumptions about motivations. He did give up trying to find his child and that does happen sometimes. If...
  20. Establishing an Order: Re: Mother Took Child Over 10 Years Ago Now Wants Support

I just don't want him to waste his money, unnecessarily. I do agree that a 30 minute consult wouldn't be a waste however, if he is the father he will be paying support. If he is not the father he...
  21. Contract Law: Re: Parties to the Contract and the Power of Authorized Partners

Here is how the distribution of products, normally works:

The first tier is the manufacturer.
The second tier might be a master distributor who in turn sells to other distributors, or it could...
  22. Establishing an Order: Re: Mother Took Child Over 10 Years Ago Now Wants Support

You do understand that if the mother found it necessary to apply for any kind of welfare benefits (which is happening to a lot of people right now) that the state forces her to file to establish...

Fences and Walls: Re: Growing Plants Close to Neighbors Fence

I understand you subscribing to the "pick one's battles" philosophy but unfortunately, my experience has been that every win you give a bully just makes them worse. Now, picking your battles with...

Fences and Walls: Re: Growing Plants Close to Neighbors Fence

However, it is equally possible that your advice could just make the neighbor more demanding. The theory is if you let someone take and inch, they will take a mile. This family has children. ...

Ownership Rights: Re: Dad with Dementia Estate Issues

Did they own assets jointly, or separately? It would be difficult for them to do anything nefarious with jointed owned assets or with assets only in your father's name, unless they had a POA for...
