No I did not pay him. Insane is a kinder word than I’d have chosen. But yes. He mismanaged the remodel and he blew all his wife’s money. There was never any verbal or written agreement between us...

He bought the trailer with the intention of giving it to me, so he had a bill of sale made out in both our names. That way when I die he gets the trailer. Before I moved in he decided to remodel it....
That is not relevant to post why were co-owners. I’m just asking if he does that, is it legal? Do I have a leg to stand on with my bill of sale as proof of ownership?
