Re: Legality of Employee Discount Loophole

Well, of course, if you like never getting another job as long as you live (because unlike what you may have seen on the internet, it is perfectly legal for your employer to give a truthful answer as...

Emancipation: Re: Would Emancipation Be Worth It

In what US state is this? Not all states will emancipate a minor and I don't know of any that will emancipate a minor who is not paying every penny of his own support.

  4. Job Benefits: Re: Can I Keep My COBRA Even if I Offered Health Plan at My New Job

Thanks for the clarification. We are in our own Open Enrollment period right now and I'm working 14 hour days; missing some obvious points.
  5. Job Benefits: Re: Can I Keep My COBRA Even if I Offered Health Plan at My New Job

You also will not be able to enroll in your employer's plan until their next Open Enrollment period. You can't just join it at any time that's convenient for you.

Re: Hidden Camera in My Room

I am not questioning that your bug sweeper picked something up near the clock, or even that there's something about the clock that is setting it off. But there's a fairly steep jump between a...

Changing an Adult's Name: Re: Trying to Get Passport

Given that he is a legal adult, he can appear for himself, or a lawyer can appear for him, but unless you are a licensed attorney, you cannot appear in his place.

    Re: Overtime Pay Violations

You are in Georgia, which means the state DOL will refer you to the Federal DOL. Although unlike some of its neighboring states Georgia does have a state DOL, a sometime poster here has described it...
  16. Parking Tickets: Re: Airport Gave Parking Ticket Rather Than Infraction Ticket, Can I Fight

IMO what's childish is thinking you have anything remotely like a defense to use in contesting this ticket. IMO you are so clearly in the wrong that I can't even imagine why you would think you could...
  17. Parking Tickets: Re: Airport Gave Parking Ticket Rather Than Infraction Ticket, Can I Fight

    Okay, I'll play your game.

was I in the legal wrong by reversing my vehicle against 1 way traffic for this distance? My vehicle was facing the correct direction, I was just in reverse gear. Yes....

    Re: No Stipulations

Couldn't possibly be because you don't know what you're doing and in trying to do it yourself you've screwed everything up to the point where no one wants the work of undoing the mess you've made.

    Re: Moving Out

While I do not disagree with the above poster, I'm inclined to say that unless there is some compelling reason why you cannot wait another week and a half, you can save yourself an awful lot of grief...
  22. Re: Are You Allowed to Record an Interview at Walmart in Alabama

  23. Background Checks: Re: I Wasn't Offered a Position, but a Background Was Completed Regardless

If it comes to that, what kind of principle is it where you tell them you're interested when you really aren't?
  24. Background Checks: Re: I Wasn't Offered a Position, but a Background Was Completed Regardless

realbananas, you do not have a lawsuit here.

Accept it and move on with your life.
  25. Background Checks: Re: I Wasn't Offered a Position, but a Background Was Completed Regardless
