    Your comment, "The store has decided not to press charges" does not compute with "I just been issued a Class C citation for shoplifting." The citation is the charge. You're confused.

    In Nebraska you do not have to exit the store. Just the fact that you removed it for its packing and placed the item in your pocket constitutes theft.
