  1. Medical Malpractice: Re: Dentist Refused to Treat Me & Left Me Suffering!

    I'll restate my point.

The dentist is not obligated to treat you. Where are medical circumstances where a doctor has an obligation to treat, those circumstances do not appear to apply here....
  2. Medical Malpractice: Re: Dentist Refused to Treat Me & Left Me Suffering!

What law do you believe exists that requires the dentist to treat you regardless?

Spousal Support and Alimony: Re: Child Support After Age 18

Unless the law has changed drastically in the last few years, your wife may be right. NJ law is weird in that child support does not stop automatically - the NCP has to apply to have it stopped. My...

  5. Re: Bought Brand New Car and Dealer Didnít Verify Insurance

I have never bought a car where I didn't have a trade in

Neither have I. I guess maybe that's where the temp plates come in. Mass does have them, I just don't see them very often.
  6. Re: Bought Brand New Car and Dealer Didnít Verify Insurance

You go to the RMV in advance, of course. You make the deal on Thursday night, go to the insurance carrier and get the stamp Friday, carry it to the RMV and get your registration and plates/new...
  7. Re: Bought Brand New Car and Dealer Didnít Verify Insurance

It may well be atypical. MA is not known for doing things like everyone else. :D
  8. Re: Bought Brand New Car and Dealer Didnít Verify Insurance

One rarely sees temp plates in Massachusetts. I won't say never, but it's unusual. In the 36 years I've lived here I've never once been issued a temp plate regardless of what I was doing with regards...
  9. Re: Bought Brand New Car and Dealer Didnít Verify Insurance

In my state, we are not provided with an insurance card. Your auto registration contains your insurance information. You have to provide the insurance information to the RMV when you pick up (or...
  10. Re: Bought Brand New Car and Dealer Didnít Verify Insurance

I still want to know what state this is in. In my state, the insurance information is on the registration so you can't drive it off the lot without proof of insurance. But in other states, insurance...

Re: Company Not Paying Until Other Employees Arrive

BUT, if the employer states your work day doesn’t start until your work partner shows up AND he doesn’t allow you to perform work AND he doesn’t require you to remain on site, he doesn’t have to pay...

Retailers: Re: Gift Card Refund Denied

The point I have evidently failed to make is that the sign is misleading, as it could be read as being the seller's opt when that is not the case.

Retailers: Re: Gift Card Refund Denied

I'm aware the law does not require that. It's kind of the point.

A "must" statement can still be dependent on a customer opt.

Retailers: Re: Gift Card Refund Denied

I can't help noticing that the sign says "May receive" and not "must receive".

Child Abuse: Re: I Don't Know What My Options Are and

Emaciated is what happens when you lose too much weight. You mean emancipated, and no, you're not going to be emancipated, honey; that's just not in the cards. You don't meet the requirements and...
