Name Change. Again

My question involves name change laws in the State of: MD

When my son was born I gave him my boyfriend's (not my son's father) last name. At my son's father's request, I changed my son's name to give him his father's name. Now alot has happened & I'd like to change my son's name to my last name. Because my son's father is on the birth certificate, I know he would have to approve of this change- which I know he wouldn't.. is there any way to get around this?

Nope. If Dad doesn't approve, you'll have to ask permission from the court and show why this is in the child's best interest.
