Workers Rights
My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Illinois
I was injured on the job back in September of 2009. I filed an injury incedent but never went to the doctor. I had dropped a crate of milk and it twisted my hand and arm. The pain was bearable, but by January 2010 it hurt so bad that I could not even bend my arm. I finally went to the doctor(company doctor) on January 4th. I was put on light duty, but was still doing the same job. I was told to go see a specialist which they finally approved on February 12th. I was told I needed a nerve test which was done February 23rd and I was told I needed surgery. I finally got workmans comp. to answer my calls today April 21 and they have denied my surgury because the doctor that said I needed surgery, said that my injury was not from dropping the milk. So now what are my options. I am still in so much pain that I can not even sleep at night./

Re: Workers Rights
Labor rights or workers' rights are a group of legal rights and claimed human rights having to do with labor relations between workers and their employers, usually obtained under labor and employment law. In general, these rights' debates have to do with negotiating workers' pay, benefits, and safe working conditions. One of the most central of these "rights" is the right to unionize. Unions take advantage of group bargaining and industrial achievement to enhance their members' salary and otherwise change their working circumstances. The labor movement initially focused on this "right to unionize", but attention has shifted somewhere else.:):):)

Re: Workers Rights
Of course, unless there is already a union contract in place which provides additional "rights" over and above what the law requires (and the OP didn't mention that), unionization would be too late to help this poster.

And how your snippy, sarcastic, deliberately obtuse answer helps the OP, I don't know.
